How to Assess and Review Chandelier Quality

A lot of people are interested in purchasing a chandelier in order to add elegance and spark to a certain room in their homes. Nobody wants to buy something for a certain amount, only to find out later that they did not get what they paid for. One way of assessing your chandelier’s quality is with the company that makes it itself. If a certain company is well-known for their high-quality chandelier products, then you can bet that their chandelier has undergone some very rigorous quality control inspections and testing’s to ensure a quality product. Usually, companies that are of high repute means that their product, from the materials that was used to make it to the actual process of how it was made, is of good quality. If, however, you are not entirely positive of the company’s quality in their products, then you can assess and review their chandeliers quality yourself.

One thing that you need to look at when inspecting the quality of your chandelier is the chandelier’s finish. Check if your chandelier’s finish is durable and smooth. Lesser quality chandeliers will have cracks, bubbles or scratches on the surface of its finish. Ideas of mine:
-Keep the dark wood finish
-Fill in the bay window w/bench that has a top that flips (storage)
-Replace the oven
-Close in the square over the stove & build in a groove (built-in cookbook holder)
-New chandelier
-Do something with that top border over sink

The ovens have to go and they need to be stainless to match the fridge. I would assume your dishwasher is stainless but if not replace it to match. The wall paper border should be taken off and painted instead. It’s too dark and busy and it brings the ceiling down. A new chandelier is a good idea and so is a built in bench under the bay window. I wouldn’t close in the square behind the stove for a cookbook holder. It’s too close to the cooktop to have paper of any kind. The slightest cooking flareup and you’re going to have a fire. Get a cookbook prop and set it on the island when cooking. Use the niche for salt & pepper shakers, decorative oil cans, or other cooking spices. The largest expense will be the countertops. While they are serviceable, granite or a similar smooth stone is preferable to grouted tiles.
